There were several Israeli military excursions into the camp this afternoon. The word on the street was that they were looking for 3 missing Israeli soldiers. The unconfirmed report was that the three soldiers had entered the Bethlehem area and then lost contact with the military thus setting off a series of patrols throughout this section of the West Bank. The military vehicles pass right in front of Ibdaa as I have mentioned before but this time as I stared out the window I saw something different. As the vehicles rolled down the street a line of youth appeared from behind the trees blocking my view of the left side of the road and began to viciously pelt the vehicles with large stone fragments from crumbling walls. The stones smashed into the heavily armored motorcade and splintered off in every direction, one piece of rock slamming into a taxi that followed too close to the vehicles. The youth did this every time as the military went back and forth on the street. I don't quite know how to feel as I watch this violent hatred explode from the Palestinian youth...I didn't manage to get a picture of the military vehicles but above you will find a picture of the youth gathering up the stones after throwing them.

This is the interview with me from the basketball game last week in Ramallah that appeared in Al-Ayyam newspaper (you can find the entire article by clicking on Al-Ayyam above). I can make out certain words but am still working on reading the entire section of the article but I can definitely read my name (see the arrow).
